The way Lex saw it, she had two options, waste an entire afternoon muddling her way through an essay of which she didn't know what she'd be going on about or spend like two minutes getting a Firstie to draw on a card for her then find a Professor to give it to. The instructions said you had to find a Prof with a matching sign but let's be honest, did it matter? No. Would there be some mystical mumbo jumbo sprouting from the card when the right match is found? Nope. Perhaps the most important question was, how would the Professor know?

It wasn't like the woman walked around telling the others don't accept cards unless the kid was a match and if she did then Lex could very well say that anything was her sign if it made it work, so now...just choosing who to give.

The Gryffindor walked along the corridor, keeping her eyes peeled for anyone she might run into. This card was on a first come first serve basis. She didn't care who she saw, Lex had already decided she was giving the cared to whoever.

Only problem now was running into a Professor.
