Poor Professor, never had a chance against this innocent looking student who was actually a disguised Cold One! Luckily, Zander knew better than to let pretty girls fool him. "Mmmhmm..." he nodded slowly, while he carefully thought out escape routes. He could just break into one of the trophy cases and smash her with one of those plaques? "Likely story..."Did plaques break shields of lies?
He flinched at the Cold One's sudden movement, again reaching for the wand in his pocket. Only this time, he hadn't fully removed it before he noticed that... She wasn't inching towards him with her zombie arms and heart freezing ways? She was... Lying on the floor? But why!? WHAT WAS HER METHOD HERE?! She couldn't possibly attack him from that position. That would be impractical.
Deciding that the position shift was a sign, Zander visibly relaxed a little. But, this didn't mean that he wasn't still on guard. Constant vigilance! Duh. Sophie Brown.... Come to think of it... That name actually did ring a bell. What if this cold one in disguise ATE THE REAL SOPHIE BROWN!? Could they do that? Eat people? These were all wonderful questions and he'd have to stop by and ask Romanos sometime, assuming that he made it out of this room alive of course. Which, by the way, he fully intended on doing.
Same year? Huh? Classes? Well if she did eat the real Sophie, then she couldn't possibly know that they had all those classes together. Hm. Maybe she was safe after all. Yeah, it was just as he thought uhum. Totally. He was just being paranoid. The third year let out a chuckle, a real one this time, in relief. "No, I'm not I swear!" He wasn't always this jittery. Just when he was around Bentley and occasionally Bart and most of the time Zahra. Okay Jittery a lot. But still!! "You're gonna think it's stupid..." his hand flew up to the back of his neck and he bit his lip in embarrassment. She'd totally laugh in his face if he told her what he was really thinking this whole time.
There's no way a cold one could look good after getting all frozen and stuff. He was totally just being... jittery. Finding the dusty floor of the trophy room surprisingly comfortable, Sophie ended up propping her head up with one arm, elbow on the floor, and gave Zander a sort of amused smirk. Likely story? What in the world did he think she had done, killed a man?
It seemed that he was relaxing, though, and so did Soph, even though she hadn't realized he had made her so tense - she finally shook off the gut feeling that he was going to jump at her like she was some sort of criminal, though. He was kind of cute, wasn't he? All nervous, doing that typical guy gesture of rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.
She took far too much pleasure in it.
"So what if I do? M'just some girl you'd never met till today. Why should my opinion matter to you?" she inquired lightly. Her words were meant as encouragement, even though she was certain they might have come out rather rudely. She just didn't want him to give so much weight to what others thought of him. "Y'can tell me, though. If I think it's stupid, I won't laugh. Scout's honor." Though she plastered on the most innocent of expressions, she was totally lying.
