Once they were home for a little while and somewhat settled in, Ethan left Min to take care of Chloe and flooed to his parents' house to go get Gunnar. He understood Minerva thinking that maybe Gunnar should stay with his parents another night, but he thought he could handle things while she rested and thought that maybe he had been with his parents long enough. After speaking to his parents for a bit and packing up his son's bag, he flooed with him back home.

"Did you have fun at Nana and Papa's house?" he asked Gunnar as he carried him into the bedroom. He visited him all he could while he split his time between there and the hospital, but he was sure the one year old was ready to be home. "Look who's here," he said with a smile and sitting down on the bed so he could see Min and meet his new sister. Of course, he met Chloe for the first time at the hospital, but they were all home now where he could get better acquainted.

Gunnar leaned his head against Daddy's shoulder while he carried him into the fireplace. He really liked Nana and Papa, but he hadn't seen Mommy too much and he missed his own bed. He was ready for Daddy to take him home and the little yawn he gave showed that he was tired even if he didn't want to go to sleep. Oh good, Daddy had brought him home and there was Elise! Gunnar pointed at the cat as he made babbling sounds leaning towards her. She was funny and he wanted to pull her tail. But maybe Daddy didn't hear him because he wasn't putting him down.

"Ma ma.." Gunnar reached for Mommy as they went into the bedroom. There she was! But what was that in her arms? He stopped, then looked curiously and stared at the small creature she was holding.
