When she heard her name, Sophie glanced up and nodded once as the professor acknowledged her. Hmm, that was actually--a personal greeting. This earned Bentley a smile, too. She thought that class might be starting, but then it seemed the professor was going to wait for a few last minuters.

Sophie took the opportunity to pull her gloves out her bag and secure them onto her hands. There. All done. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other as she waited for class to get started.
