Simon was in a good mood today. A very good mood.

With the majority of his homework completed, the Slytherin decided that he'd go for a walk. He left a note on his bed for his dorm mates, telling them he was in the Great Hall if they wanted to join him. He didn't think that Ethan would as Ethan was snoring quite soundly. He tiptoed out of his dormitory, then left his common room, and headed for the stairs. As he climbed the stairs, he started to hum one of his all-time favourite songs, "Don't You Forget About Me". His father had introduced him to it a long, long time ago when they were driving on the Great Ocean Road. He thought that it was the perfect song for a road trip. It was just so... so empowering. Hearing the song made the Slytherin feel as if he could do anything except Quidditch.

Quietly to himself, he began to sing the song. "Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby," he said as he entered the Great Hall. He saw some other students deep in conversation but Simon didn't care for once. "Tell me your troubles and doubts giving me everything inside and out and love's strange so real in the dark. Think of the tender things that we were working on"

As he walked further into the Great Hall, the Slytherin began to let go of everything for once. He was really good and he was going to do what he wanted to do. Plus, there was no one he knew around him so he didn't care about making a complete goof of himself in front of a complete stranger. He had friends. Enough friends.

His voice was becoming louder and louder until all of a sudden he threw his right hand up into the air (just like those cool kids of the Breakfast Club) and sang, "Don't You Forget About Me. Don't Don't Don't Don't. Don't You Forget About Me!"

Yeah! That felt good.
