She needed an objective judge which would not be herself. But she was still about to taste her own pancakes before handing them to a judge. Sitting down at a spot in front of the fireplace, Leah opened the container with her creations in it. This place was nice, she should come here more often, away from the frightening cold.
That was when she saw AJ nearby. Waving at the younger girl, the second year said cheerfully, "Hi AJ," she smiled. Wait, were those cookies? Cookie cakes? Her eyes turned wide as she continued, "Ooh, they look tasty." she gestured to the food. "Are they for your ancient runes homework? Do you mind if I... try them?" Okay that was embarrassing. "Oh and you can eat my pancakes." Leah grinned.
Well, well, well. Not only did her plan work and she didn't even have to go hunting down anybody, but she was going to get pancakes out of it too. This was turning into a mighty fine day after all.
"Hey Leah." She knew that Leah was Angel's best friend, but AJ really liked the girl too.
"Cozy down here, isn't it?" She stretched her little legs and looked over to what Leah was carrying forgetting for a moment that she had asked her a question.
"It is actually. They were supposed to be chocolate chip cookies but they all kind of merged together." She shrugged her shoulders. They should taste fine though. It was just one giant cookie instead of a dozen now.
"Sure. I've actually been needing to get somebody to do that." Cookies for pancakes? That sounded like a pretty even trade.
"Trade?"
AJ handed over both containers. The one of the left was the one that she had made in the workshop and she wondered if Leah would be able to tell the difference.
"What do you think?"
