Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Nessa beamed and waved at the students who returned her greeting. Such great kids they were! And they see grateful for the snacks, but who wouldn't be? Everyone loved refreshments at a meeting! "Oh, you're welcome! Make sure you tell the elves thank you as well when you see them. They're the ones who made everything." She was fairly clueless around the kitchen, though sandwiches she could probably handle. She knew the elves would do a better job though.
She had just taken a bite of her sandwich when Leo started things off with an introduction. Though she was eating, the History of Magic professor remained attentive. It was polite, not to mention that she was interested. They had some fun things planned! But they didn't get too far in the discussion before she became quite distracted by the light and shadows on the wall. That was.. interesting.
It seemed to be the shadow of a human figure to her and she was just about to get up to look out the window when she turned her attention to Leo again as he spoke. Yes, of course the students saw the same thing, she knew it couldn't be a product of her overactive imagination. But what came next surprised her slightly. "Oh.. um.. alright.. sure," she stammered as Mr. Kitridge handing things over to her. Of course she would want to make sure everything was alright outside, but she wasn't exactly prepared to lead this meeting alone. Even if they did have a fun activity planned for the end that was mostly her idea.
But being quick on her feet was what one of her Improv teachers taught her and she supposed she was up to the task today. "Right.. so.." she glanced over at the young Ravenclaw near the door. They were already very distracted and she couldn't blame them, but she wondered if she could get re-capture their attention. Mr. Kitridge said something about possibly studying creatures later on and she smiled at Adi as he expressed that interest. Anyone else? She looked around the room. Perhaps a little more discussion before the activity.. "Why don't we go around the circle and each of us tell a little bit about a creature we find especially fascinating or frightening.. or even if you've had an unusual experience with one." Perhaps she should start off. "My favorite is the fwooper. I even have a pet one in my office, her name is Ophelia. She's the most beautiful bird. Did you know that fwooper quills are very rare and valued? Every once in a while she will be very generous and give me a few of her feathers. I like to make them into quill gifts for my friends." Ok.. their turn!
