Well, it was a very fortunate thing she had decided not to transfigure her boots into skates before this, though surely she wouldn't have fallen because she embraced her Ravenclaw friend as she came towards her. "Of course!" She could not miss seeing this frozen lake for herself, you know? Could not.

It was still sad to look at it, but her friend's energy was rather contagious, so she smiled as big as possible and nodded, "As soon as I help someone up from the ground..." meaning... yes, Nigel.

And no, no curious looks needed, Ves, maybe the cold was getting to the sixth year. Don't worry, we're not sending Nigel off with the merpeople or anything.

Now, if he fell again, then he was on his own. She had skates to get into. Or rather, boots to turn into skates.

Well, then. That was awkward. "At least that couldn't hurt much, what with the snowsuit and all." She said, more to herself than anyone else.

Her prediction had come true. How remarkably disappointing.

Had they kept him hidden in the Room of Requirement or something?

She really missed Scabior, though. [/random]

Still. He was attached to Vesper and his voice wasn't like that one Toussaint, so... she smiled back, "Hi there!" That's it.
