LOOK AT HER SMILE. SHE WASN'T LYING.
Also...huh? Had Lottie just said something nice to Nigel? Or...actually acknowledged his presence?...........Erm, what?
The Ravenclaw backed off and gave her friend a curious look. That was different. Awesome, she guessed...but yea, different.
........."Are you getting on the ice with us?" HMM? Well, it was a very fortunate thing she had decided not to transfigure her boots into skates before this, though surely she wouldn't have fallen because she embraced her Ravenclaw friend as she came towards her. "Of course!" She could not miss seeing this frozen lake for herself, you know? Could not.
It was still sad to look at it, but her friend's energy was rather contagious, so she smiled as big as possible and nodded, "As soon as I help someone up from the ground..." meaning... yes, Nigel.
And no, no curious looks needed, Ves, maybe the cold was getting to the sixth year. Don't worry, we're not sending Nigel off with the merpeople or anything. Quote:

He definitely not expecting what Lottie just said. "Uh, yeah. Thanks"
Any help to get his bum off the ice would be fantastic. Just saying. There we go. Lottie didn't even laugh. But she had her reasons not to, anyway.
And so, the Hogwartian extended her hand to the seventh year. "Go on. No tricks." He could take it and help himself up. It's not like she was touching him, anyway, because thank Merlin for gloves. It was all good, really.
Now, if he fell again, then he was on his own. She had skates to get into. Or rather, boots to turn into skates. Quote:

"Attempting, Number One," he chuckled as he looked down at his boots. He really couldn't put off the transfiguration process much longer now, could he? He wasn't too sure about the adrenaline keeping him warm. Only so much blood pumping and excitement to be accomplished from falling.
Lifting up his right foot, he gave the boot a tap and transfigured it into a skate. He then, foolishly mind you, set it down and lifted the left to repeat the process...but his balance was complete rubbish and he ended up flailing his arms and leaning forward to try and not fall. The sudden shift in position gave him enough momentum to move forward slight and, seeing as he had been standing on a slight slant, propelled him forward and zoom across the ice while balancing only on his one leg. BEAMING, ALWAYS BEAMING. That 'Number One' addition was GOLDEN. Like Gryffindors.
Attempting. Well, in that case..., "Live long and... good luck." Which he obviously failed to have. And Lottie couldn't help but raise her eyebrows as the man transfigured his boots while standing. Well, then. That was awkward. "At least that couldn't hurt much, what with the snowsuit and all." She said, more to herself than anyone else.
Her prediction had come true. How remarkably disappointing. Quote:

Once he got there Kyroh grabbed onto Vesper's leg again and wobbly pulled himself up.
LOOK! HE WAS STANDING! That meant he could skate and everything! He could move and-nearly falling right back down Kyroh wrapped his arms around Vesper and snuggled against her back.
Yeah. Okay. He was not letting go again. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Blue eyes went to the boy attached to Vesper, and she inspected him. Why... was he so familiar? OH WAIT A MINUTE! He was that dreadful Scabior kid from that dreadful lesson about superheroes because... what even?? She didn't even get ONE chocolate frog back then. Had they kept him hidden in the Room of Requirement or something?
She really missed Scabior, though. [/random]
Still. He was attached to Vesper and his voice wasn't like that one Toussaint, so... she smiled back, "Hi there!" That's it. |
