Then again... he was out here. And Kyroh and Ves and the Hufflepuff duo. He let go of Cat and seated himself to Transfigure his shoes into skates. Easy peasy, actually.

When Airey showed up, Mo was already shoving himself out on the ice, wobbly-like, making his way toward those already gathered on the ice. "We won't stay out long, Professor. It's been so stuffy all stuck up inside the castle." He held out a hand to Vesper, inviting her to link up with him and Cat (and Kyroh?) to make a skate-snake.

"I think Kyroh is overly cold and prone to panic attacks. I just walked down from the castle, kid. And I said we're skating and look... now we are!" Syntax problems? Kyroh was most definitely a Ravenclaw. "C'mon... you want to race?"

Kneeling down beside the younger Ravenclaw on the ice, she pulled her wand, carefully shrinking the skates to fit his feet. Shrinking Charm. Yay for charms. "He didn't know your shoe size, obviously. And you're an awesome kid. Who doesn't know your name?" Vesper grinned at Kyroh. Boosting egos. She had mastered the art. "...and on the off chance that this could've been a dream...Why would you be dreaming about Professor Flamsteed in a big, red snow suit?" Hmm? Answer her that, young Kyroh. "Relax! We've got your back...and some adult supervision." See? There was a professor present...

Nevermind that said professor was...childlike. That didn't matter in the least.

"You wanna race with Marcus?" She wasn't offering to hold his hand again, okay? Ves wasn't trying to make Kyroh seem like a baby. Gosh...

Getting back on her feet (and skates), she beamed towards both Marcus and Cat. Cat was like their unofficial cheerleader in the group. Super happy and fun...with awesome food to be offered up if it was needed. Hadn't she mentioned hot chocolate after this adventure? Awwyesh!


Of course, when Lottie appeared, Vesper ignored everyone and everything to glide forward and fling herself at the Hufflepuff. See, Kyroh...not all Hufflepuffs were creepy. Ves nuzzled her face. "I'm so glad you came!" She was. True story!

LOOK AT HER SMILE. SHE WASN'T LYING.

Also...huh? Had Lottie just said something nice to Nigel? Or...actually acknowledged his presence?...........Erm, what?

The Ravenclaw backed off and gave her friend a curious look. That was different. Awesome, she guessed...but yea, different.

Well time to get to the skating. Nigel walked onto the ice with his skates on and tried the skating thing. Well what do you know. He fell down and it hurt. Besides his pain. Kyroh did ask the important question. Dreaming vs Reality. Always a fascinating thing to think about when bored.

Anyway, Nigel with his bum on the ice was to be expected after all. Maybe he would just watch the awkwardness and comedy gold that was Mo making a skate line thing. The possibilities of that going wrong are endless.

Cris stood in between Tessa and Jasmine as both girls introduced themselves and began talking. Cris smiled. He knew that Jasmine and Tessa would get along really good together. The Strand men, really knew how to pick their ladies. "Hey ladies, look at that Professor Flamsteed is out here with the others too. Let's go and join them, " Cris suggested to both Jasmine and Tessa and skated over to join the snake line, glancing back to see whether they were following him.

"Ahoy there! Mind if we join you," Cris asked as he skated along with the others. He noticed Nigel take a fall and would have gone over to assist him up but figured that the boy would take offense to being helped out in front of all the ladies here. So Cris skated by, throwing him a sympthatic look as he did so.

Cris could see another Hufflepuff girl (Lottie) talking with Vesper. He hated to admit that he didn't even know her name. Bad Cris. Not knowing the names of your fellow housemates. But Cris figured he still had time to find out. If not this term, than maybe the next.

He had heard Mo challenge Kyroh to a race and suspected he was doing that to draw the boy's attention away from his fear of falling. However, Cris had a nasty suspicion, that the younger Ravenclaw wouldn't say no to a race. Heck! it was rare for someone to say no to a challenge like that. That would definitely be an interesting race and from the looks of it, they already had an 'official" cheerleader (Caterina)

Then another Ravenclaw (Benjy) joined the group and Cris smiled at him in greeting not knowing his name either. Shake of head again.

Then he skated over to Professor Flamsteed who was in the process of transfiguring his shoes into skates. "Hello Professor Flamsteed, it's good to see you here. Nice snow suit you have on," Cris grinned over at their Astronomy Professor just as the man lost his footing, took off on the ice and then .....OOOPS!!....bit the dust the ice. Cris had to admit that the swan dive and belly flop was pretty spectaculer. Maybe an 8 out of 10.

Cris bit his lip, struggling to keep himself from laughing out loud. He quickly skated over to where the Professor had landed and offered him his hand. "Need a boost up, Professor?" Cris looked innocently at the man as he tried to keep a straight face. No it wouldn't be good to be caught laughing at his Professor.

Jasmine had to laugh when Cris joked about her choice if attire. "I have about seven layers on, but who's counting?". Then things started to get interesting. People began to arrive at the lake to skate and the numbers quickly grew larger. Jasmine watched as Cris began to talk to a number of classmates. Most she had seen around, but some she did not know.

Cris intoduced himself and Jasmine to a pair of Ravenclaws that she had seen in class and around the Common Room. "Hi, I'm Jasmine", she said to them both. She started to realize just how limited her circle if friends was. She really needed to get out more.

When Cris held out his hand, Jasmine took it and they skated on. Then, there was someone that Cris wanted her to meet. He introduced her to Tessa. Ahhhhh, Sander's girlfriend. it was amazing that they had not crossed paths sooner. "Hi Tessa. It's nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you." Jasmine chuckled at Tessa's statement. She was not lacking for confidence, that was for sure.
