She did take a few small sips in silence for a few long moments, contemplating her next choice of words, then she grinned the biggest of grins and just came right out with it, "We kissed." There. Straight and to the point. And totally proud of herself.

Cat fussed a little with the blanket and the mugs of hot chocolate and the cookies that she had made special for Soph before she was fully settled and even then she wasn't. "You're welcome, deary." She kissed the top of Sophie's head and smiled before she too settled herself to sit on the blanket. "Do you have enough marshmallows?"

She started to uncover the cookies, noting that they were still right-out-of-the-oven warm but dropped the lid, "I'm sorry... what? You... who?" Was this a joke? It was not by any means hot inside the castle but it had quite suddenly gotten very stuffy, hadn't it? OH DEAR. WHAT?
