As much as she wanted to be away from the cold, the thought of leaving Bay and her friends even for a few months made Lux very sad. She needed to be with her friends, and she wanted to help out as much as possible.

"I sure hope they stop having lessons outside. Ancient Runes was terrible and I had to get a ride on Kace's back." A wonderful boy, Kace was. One of her best friends, and not bad at giving piggyback rides either. Of course he wasn't as good as Bay, but then no one was.
