"Avoiding them, actually. They're squeaky, annoying and they talk too much. Why the red?"

Cold and not in control of what it was doing? Yeah, Dora was currently understanding of that.
"Sounds a lot like my head." Not in control of what was going on. The heart just hurt. It seemed to be doing a lot of that this year, but not much she could do about it, was there?
She unfroze the water and made little waves.
"I believe you just described every incoming first year." Dora had only just managed to get away from all of them in her own house.
