Merlin's BEARD, it was cold!
Maddie slipped into the arena and shivered slightly, surprised to see she was the first one here. There was something eerie about being in the space all alone and the first year couldn't help but look over her shoulder, debating on whether or not she should wait in the hall for some others to arrive. But no, what would the others think of her if she waited out THERE? They'd probably say she was a baby or that she was AFRAID which she WASN'T! NOPE. So INSTEAD of going back into the hall, she casually took her wand out of its holster and wandered over to a purple mat in the center of the room. After dropping her bag to the floor, she took a seat and looked anxiously at the Professor's empty mat. Where WAS she, anyway?
...NOT that Maddie was afraid. She WASN'T. Except now all she could think about was Cold Ones and she didn't have any flaming arrows on her at the moment, see? So yeah.
...Yeah.
