Or maybe the Headmistress was trying to get them to start behaving. Who knew?
Hmm, he could prank someone, but who would he prank? He didn't have an enemies not that he knew of anyway and he didn't like the thought of pranking friends. There was the Professors however. "You sound as though you have thought about this some. Did you have someone in mind?"
Michael knew that the guy would like that. What Slytherin wouldn't? "The idea of being Prefect is sounding better all the time isn't it?" He still didn't think he would want it but there were certainly perks to the job.
They were halfway through the handshake when Grayson mentioned his detention and Michael couldn't help be a little surprised. "Oh. Hahahaha. You heard about that huh?" Realising that he was still holding the Slytherin's hand, he pulled his own back and immediately rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah Hadley, didn't think Zahra and I were focusing enough in class." Not to mention that they had also snogged in the middle of that class as well. That was a brilliant example. Lex. Alexa Cambridge. Brilliant. "'Xactly!" he said, nodding along, "I still reckon she makes a good Prefect, unless you manage to get on her bad side. Oh! And Cassia." Though, he wasn't sure if Cassia was the rule breaking kind of person. MAYBE he needed to talk to her more.
The fact that it sounded as if he had thought about this was funny because he had thought about this. Really. Smart Toussaint was smart. "Nobody in mind but I have some ideas in mind. Like cockroach clusters covered in fudge." Delicious fudge, mind you. "You bet!" SEE? If you talk along those terms, even someone like him could see the positives of a boring task. Otherwise, it was just plain boring. "You just need to find the right way of making it seem like a good thing."
At least the boy had a sense of humour. Good for you, Michael. "A birdie told me about it." But he was smirking slightly because it was amusing. "Heard you were quite the Romeo to her Juliet." Of course, he wasn't going to mention who had said this to him. Not in a million years. "Michael Toussaint, the little troublemaker."
