Cris listened attentively as the Professor explained how the unicorn's print differed from that of the other prints they had seen. Then she announced that they were heading out.

They were indeed going outside! To the Whomping Willow! YAY! Cris mentally cheered. Maybe this time, the Professor would allow him to try touching the tree. He had no such luck when Mo came up him as he was planning to do it the first time. Digging inside his backpack for his winter jacket, woolen scarf, leather gloves and warm woolen beanie, Cris pulled them out. Wrapping the scarf around his neck and placing the beanie over his head, Cris then pulled on his leather gloves before putting on his jacket. He already had on his warmest socks and boots.

He was now ready to venture outdoors and face the Whomping Willow. Picking up his backpack, he walked over to join Jasmine, before heading out the room, and following the Professor.
