Oh nooooo, not outside....again. Why did everyone think it was a good idea to have class outside during the coldest winter in history? Jasmine had gotten used to winter, but not arctic winters.

So focusing her mind back on the topic at hand, Jasmine listened to the Professor explain the animal footprints. When she brought up more questions, Jasmine gave each one some thought.

Raising her hand, Jasmine tried to tackle one of the questions. "The members of the horse family have prints that look different from the other animals because their hooves are harder and able to make a clearer, sharper impression. They are heavier too so the added weight will help the hoof press down deeper into the earth or in our case snow. Paws are softer and more spread out so the weight is not as concentrated." Jasmine had rambled on so long in answering the question, she almost confused herself.
