Angel was just sitting there minding her own business when suddenly something her sister said made her look up. "Angel what do you think these are?" she wasn't normally one for causing confusion because she didn't like getting into trouble but well this was just harmless fun and then had done it before in primary school without getting into trouble for it.
"They are footprints of animals I think Professor." Angel beamed as she looked at the Professor this was going to be one interesting meeting now her sister has got to the professor's question before she could. She looked between the two girls a bit confused, well umm she knew the one had just sat down, but maybe she miss understood. “Alright nice to meet you both.” She left it at that, but looked at the child again when she asked another question. Smiling at the girl Cassie certainly was going to answer, “Of course I can, anyone who studies Divination, but that is for class time or coming to my office for extra study time. Right now we need to focus on the meeting and topic at hand.” Giving the child an amused look she laughed, “You can’t buy a Unicorn and if you didn’t that would just be very wrong. My gift is to sense what they are doing or feeling, not where to buy one.” She moved on to the next student.
Looking to the other twin she watched and listened. Smiling and snapping, “Very good Aj this is animal footprints.”

Oh, if Elodie didn't know she was a professional in her own right, she would have rolled her eyes and muttered something worthy of a detention. Instead, she sipped at her tea as well as nibbling on a cookie. The others could answer Professor Morgan. Els was too busy enjoying the things she'd been offered to settle down with. Plus she was recovering from snotty eleven year olds.
Gross. Her green eyes looked towards the door as someone joined them. Another Prefect and Hufflepuff. Oh how lovley, she beamed at the older student. “Oh no, I hope they are alright. Don’t worry we just got started. We are looking at the posters and talking about what they are and what form of Divination could help us with them. Grab some tea and cookies and join in.”

The boy reached out for some cookies, as he continued to listen. He made sure to nod at all the right parts and give a little "MHM" too.... This was weird. But then she showed the picture and oh? Raising his hand eagerly Zander tried to speak. "Mhmhgoomehhm," okay chewing first then speaking... "I saw a unicorn in Hogsmeade! Does that have anything to do with it??" Of course, before he could even do anything the stupid unicorn ran away. HMPH. No fun. Hearing what she thought was a mouth filled answer, Cassie chuckled a bit. “I enjoy your enthusiasm, what come again?” Which he did and she listened, “Oh yes.. Yes.. I’m so glad you brought that up. I was in the Three BroomSticks when the three Unicorns decided to come enjoy a day out. I sense them coming and sent Professor Thompson right out.” She hated her little lunch social moment being interrupted, but she was glad he was able to get to them and help them calm.

"Hey Aubrey." She said, offering a grin to the firstie. That one was growing on her, she was. Very adorable when she had a mind to be.
Food secured, her heart was no longer broken and she could proper concentrate--oh hey Professor Glendower. Lovely lady that one but back to the point. Something about sensing animals? Forgive her for interrupting and she didn't have an answer but she did have a question now. "Does that mean you could, say, persuade animals to trust and follow you as well? Like maybe....up to someone's dorm??--Hypothetically of course." Ahem. Just a question. Miss, so formal goodness. “Alright Miss Cambridge, though if you ever feel like using just your first name we are not as formal around here as some professors might be.” She gave the lion a beam before listening to the rest of what she had to say. “Oh no, no like I said before this is just a sense of actions.” She stopped for a moment, “A few weeks back I was feeling very anxious about the Thestral’s, went to check on them and told Professor Thompson that I sensed them trying to escape for warmer shelter soon. He takes my thoughts very seriously since we are old friends.” She grinned at the girl before moving on.
SPOILER!!: Animal Prints
Adi had been wondering if he bite into a cookie when he heard the all too familiar voice of Cutty. He still had not forgotten the kebab incident in Arithmancy but strangely he wasn't mad about it anymore. "Hey, Cutty. And yes, Professor, you can use my nickname.'' He grinned. See? She wasn't so bad. The subject she taught, however...
And soon more familiar faces were filing in. "Hey, Cris! And...you, Slytherin dude.'' (Grayson). "Hi, AJ.'' Adi waved back to his first year friend.

So, the meeting was starting. Adi listened with interest as the new Professor explained about her gift. He tried to keep his face neutral but of course he was thinking, "Yeah, yeah. Seer powers. How cool. Not.'' How did they know Professor Cassie wasn't making things up?
He kept quiet for a while as he munched on a cookie. He did start to laugh softly at AJ's unicorn question but quickly managed to pass it off as a coughing fit. Ehem. Right. He raised his hand. "Footprints of an animal.''
I'm doing great, Zander. Thanks for asking," before turning to acknowledge both Adi and Leah's greeting back at him.
Then he immediately turned his attention to the Divination Professor when she began to speak, explaining why she had called the SNAC members to the meeting. Cris had indeed noticed the strange behavior of some of the creatures, especially those that lived in the Forbidden Forest.
When Professor Glendower asked everyone what those posters were, Cris waited for someone to answer but when no one did, he raised his hand and hazarded a guess.
"Professor those are the foot prints of various animals. The one over there, looks like a hoof mark...probably from a unicorn or maybe a centaur," Cris paused to think before continuing.
"Um...From what I know, these prints can help us tell what the animal is thinking or feeling when they made those. I believe the art of divination using this method is called Ichnomancy."

“Yes.. Yes very good. These three posters are animal prints. The first is a mixture, the second a print from a Unicorn, and the third is actually a raccoon.” She beamed at all the right answers. “There are so many things we can learn just in a foot print. We can know if the animal was hunting, scared, which way they were going, could they possibly in danger. So many things could be involved in the reading of footprints.” Her excitement for the answers and her fabulous subject got her happy snapping away.
Looking towards Cristoff she snapped more, “Marvelous, just marvelous. Yes.. Yes it is Ichnomancy.” She looked at the rest of the group. [b] “Ichnomancy is the form of Divination that involves prints. They could be human or animals and what you do is look for qualities about the prints.[b] Wasn’t that exciting? “Though animal print readings is very different than human print readings. Humans you can find their inner qualities and life spans by their footprints. With animals we look for their movement pattern, hunter or hunting, scared, angry, running, or walking. These things are very important in our mission today.” She wanted to see the patterns that they could find and if they were scared or were they just trying to get to warmer weather.
Moving back towards the last poster she had shown, she stopped and studied it for a second. “This print for instance. I said before it was a raccoon. Now can anyone tell me about the print, or what you think the print is telling you?” She looked around the room for a moment before remembering how many first years she had in there. “Oh this might be of some help.” Flicking her wand a cabinet opened in the back and books moved to each table, opening up to the page she wanted. “As I said before every print is different, so take your time and see what you can figure out about this one right here. Just use these pages as a guide, come up with your own answers.”
