Oh, they were using fake wands! And Caleb knew exactly how Muggle!Caleb would react in that situation. Sitting up slowly from his fetal position, he wrinkled his eyebrows and pointed to Cris, who was using a quill wand to try and take down the dragon.
"Goodness, have you lost your mind?! Sticks will not take down a dragon, they'll just make it angry that you're taunting it!" he cried. He then took a crumpled up piece of paper and tried to disarm the crazy man with it (pretending it was a rock or...something).
"I will not die today!" he added for dramatic emphasis. This was seriously SO FUNNNNN!
