Alexa took the smallest of steps back, giving him room to cast while she watched...clearly puzzled by the dummies ascent. For the first moment or two she didn't say anything, just watched it slowly rise higher and higher before falling.
The Gryffindor blinked, tilting her head to the side curiously and giving Cutty a once over. "That almost looked like Levicorpus except you cast the Alarte Ascendare so that's weird." Her eyes flickered back to the dummy before resting on the Slytherin again. "In any case you'll have to do it over, the movement was much too slow and somehow you managed to flip the object. What you want to do is imagine it shooting upward in one quick thrust like this." Lex took aim at another dummy. "Alarte Ascendare!" Another shot of red light sent the dummy zipping toward the ceiling of the arena before losing momentum like the first and hurtling to the ground again.
"Now you try. No slow motions, it's meant to dart to the ceiling like it's nobody's business, got it?" Though now she was thinking she should have just shown him Levicorpus but he might have already known it.

I'm thirteen." He said matter-of-factly. At the next part of Lex's question, Cutty gave a small hesitation as he considered how to phrase it. "
Fer snoggin'." That's what he needed a girlfriend for. His mind considered that again and with energy and a smile, he moved is wand and spoke the incantation. "
Alarte Ascendare!"
This time the recently dropped and righted dummy flew, and with all speed, upward. It hurtled toward the ceiling with such force that it's head became lodged in it. Not entirely, however. It was as though the Defense dummy were simply trying to wear the ceiling as a hat. Big dreams.
