Oh MAN. His MUM had been a Prefect? "Jeez, I hope that's not pressurising, man. I mean, she won't be upset if you don't get on, will she?" It was probably a good thing that his mum didn't hold any such expectations from him. Even she knew that no one would trust him with something like that. "Your mum sounds like a hoot. Would you do something like that?" This was kinda important. Kinda.

And now this one was smirking. And correcting him too. He didn't know how to feel about that but maybe he could accept the smirking. "Still sounds like a lot of work. Especially if you meet a kid you don't like." He'd have a hard time trying to look out for them. Juuuuuuust saying.

"Wise words. I guess that's what some people need to remember when in power." Was he a Ravenclaw or just that smart? "The name's Grayson. Grayson Whitlock. Yours?"

He had to think about that for a moment. Would his mum get upset if he didn't become a Prefect like her? "Nah I don't think so. I think she was kinda shocked that she got made one herself." And if he was honest with himself, Michael found it hard to believe that his mother was once a Prefect. Probably why he came into the trophy room so that he could see the proof.

Michael glanced at the Slytherin when he asked his question and he almost burst out laughing. It was obvious that this guy didn't know who he was talking to. "I might." He said slowly, a grin forming on his lips. "Got any ideas?" He could totally tell that this guy was definitely a rule breaker.

That was true. It would be hard to look out for someone you couldn't stand. "Doesn't necessarily have to be hard work." He gave the guy a shrewd look. "And if you do a good enough job of looking out for them...well...then they would owe you one, wouldn't they?" He may be a Gryffindor but his father was a Slytherin and some of those traits do tend to rub off onto you.

"Nice to meet you Grayson." He stuck out his hand. "Michael Toussaint."
