Cutty took one look outside at the conditions that awaited them beyond the doors to the castle and sighed. He scratched his bum, pulled out the rune and placed it against his wand and quietly chanted. "
Kenaz kenaz kenaz... ku ka ki ke ko...kun kan kin ken kon.. ok ek ik ak uk... kaunnnnn." Chanting. It was practically heartbreaking for the boy. Practically. If he... . Could he use the runes in this manner without uttering a word? Cutty had to remind himself of what Runes could really do to stay focused. That was more important than anything he had going on with his mother. Thank Merlin for Ascanius Stark. Slytherin should've gotten points for that.
He watched, faced washed clear of all emotion, as the little rune glowed brightly before lighting his torch with
Incendio. He wasn't bored, or angry, or sad. He was simply shut off.

....the freezing cold outdoors.
Wrapping his robes closer around him, Cris held his torch up high and allowed the light from its flame to help him see where he was going. As his torch's flame continued to burn strong and bright, Cris wished that there was a way to transmit its warmth to the rest of his body. His fingers, were warmly protected by his dragon hide gloves, but his legs weren't....and neither was his face.
At the rate his nose was sniffling, Cris suspected nosicles would soon be appearing from his nose, but he still trudged on.
...and they weren't even outdoors until now!!
The freezing cold just ripped through his robes. How could it be so cold, Cris wondered to himself for the umteenth time. He lived in Norway, which was known to have colder winters than where he was now. But for some reason, this wintery cold was different. Unstrangely COLD!!.
With the aid of his torch, Cris looked above him. It was snowing...as expected, and the light snowflakes blanketed everywhere around him...and over him. Cris thanked the fates that the flame on his torch continued to burn strongly as he made his way down to the lake, keeping as close to the Professor as he possibly could. There was no way in heck, he was going to get left behind.
Ugh. Windchill!factor. The Slytherin's scarf went billowing in a ribbon of silver and green behind him once the winds from the outside found him. He recoiled and pressed his hands tightly to his arms and body. Spotting one of the many new exchange students the school had gotten this year, Cutty hurried up behind him using the big Hufflepuff's body as added protection against the elements. He'd be following that guy for the rest of the journey outdoors provided he went unnoticed. "
Ventus." He said lodging the tip of his wand into his clothing and noticing it spread a wind close to his skin that was a great deal warmer than the time he'd done it at the beginning of class.
