Benny was momentarily distracted by the firey happenings amongst some of the other boys apparently misbehaving. Couldn't they listen? Or at least know to be careful, especially around fire? He accepted the offered torch when it was finally passed to him, ready to move on when Professor Botros turned his attention back to the rest of the class to tell them how to move on.
However before he could light the torch, the Gryffindor registered that his rune didn't seem like it was glowing anymore. So balancing rune and wand in one hand and torch in the other, Ben chanted the gladr once more. "kenaz kenaz kenaz... ku ka ki ke ko.. kun kan kin ken kon.. ok ek ik ak ." Maybe twice for good measure was best. "kenaz kenaz kenaz... ku ka ki ke ko.. kun kan kin ken kon.. ok ek ik ak."
Now it was definitely glowing again, brighter even this time around, and he could light the torch. If he could figure out how without wrecking the system with the rune. The wand needed to reside there...right. Others seemed to have no trouble so it had to be able to be done. Benny absently moved both hands trying to figure it out, finally aiming wand and rune both at the torch. "Incendio..."
