Examining the torch she was handed, Beverly traced her fingers over Kenaz runes. So they were going to practice fire, not ice. That was MUCH better. Beverly about already had enough of the cold.

Placing the Kenaz runestone on her palm and her wand over it, she wrapped her fingers firmly around them. Now for the chant. "Kenaz kenaz kenaz...ku ka ki ke ko...kun kan kin ken kon...ok ek ik ak uk...kaunnnnnnnnn..."

Beverly waited and watched as the Kenaz runes gradually lit up in a nice glow. Then she smelled it.

...Was something burning?

Glancing around she raised an eyebrow. Look. A guy was on fire. On the opposite side of her, which meant she was safe. Someone should put it out though. Just saying.
