Was that human girl offering him food? The foal took a few cautious steps towards her... Quote:

He thought he'd read somewhere that Mares were very protective of their young and he didn't want anything to happen to the poor girl just because the foal seemed curious. He approached the girl a bit slowly, so he didn't scare either her or the creature. "Umm..you might wanna be careful, maybe not get too close. I think his mother wouldn't be too happy.." He wasn't sure, The Gryffindor didn't think that Unicorns were violent creatures but why risk the girl's safety? Quote:

Unicorns. Right there. A few feet in front of her.
The Slytherin almost jumped in excitement, but decided against it seeing as she wasn't alone. Which incredibly sucked, because that meant she wouldn't be able to keep the unicorns. Major disappointment. Beverly's eyes weren't on the foal though, they were on the mare. A full grown unicorn. What a BEAUTY. She wanted to pet it and feed her the Sugar Quill.
Then she heard a voice she was fairly familiar she's heard before. And she was correct. It the Connor boy, the one who'd tried teaching her how to skip rocks and owned a pretend teddy bear by the name of Barry. Putting on her cool mask, she went to stand next to him.
"They're peaceful creatures and prefer the touch of a witch." It was a known fact. But then again, a mother was different when it came to protecting their young. "Hi, by the way."
Did he remember her? He should. Eyes widening, Lux watched as the little baby Unicorn cautiously walked towards her. This was the first time she had seen the creatures in real life, and they were so up close. It was unreal. It was also difficult to tell which was more beautiful; the mother or her baby.
As a boy cautioned her to be careful, she smiled at him and was about to tell him that it would be okay when Beverly joined in. "Hey there, Beverly." The girl got a smile as well. They had never talked much, but the older girl was rather nice. Her attention was turned back to the boy now. "Hi, I'm Lux."
Slowly she reached into her pocket and grabbed a random candy. Reaching her hand out, she offered it for the baby to take. |
