Austin nodded at the man's 'hello'. He wasn't sure why this person was talking to him. It could have had something to do with the new mess on the floor, which had nothing to do with Austin, but he was sure he didn't have to defend himself to anyone.
He walked up to the strange person, a smile across his face. "Having fun I see?" As far as Austin could tell, it didn't see like there was much fun here, although the mess did seem a bit bigger closer up. He picked up a vile from a nearby table, turning it in his fingers. It was some sort of potion that made the drinker laugh for hours on end. What use was there in that? After a while it might get annoying, but it seemed to be more annoying to the people around, so it wasn't exactly useful for his 'bag of tricks'. It wasn't an actual bag, of course, although he had considered getting one. But he did have a mental bag full of fun things to do, and that was something he'd never reveal.

And then once he looked up at the boy, he realized exactly who he was talking to! This guy was in the same dorm room, right? Yeah, totally seen him in the dorms. Yet, Zander couldn't come up with the name right away.... "Haven't had much of a chance to talk to you lately, how have you been?" he asked, and then added "Bart," as an after thought. Yes. Bart. That was definitely the name.
Then Zander noticed the other lad making his way through the isle. He looked at Bart and totally saw that mischievous glint in his eye. What in Merlin's name was that boy thinking? "Hi," Zander addressed the boy who was now starting to make his way over. Having fun? Yeah, you know how us Gryffindors roll," he smiled. Fun was like the house mantra. Pft Bravery? Nah, fun. Although this mess and the whole bumping fiasco wasn't really what Zander would classify as fun...
He looked at the boy, he seemed like a first year. The third year grinned and glanced at his dorm mate. Yep this was going to be fun.
"Of course we are having fun. It's a joke shop that's the point to have fun, right?" He was ready for some good fun too. Looking around he didn't see a shopkeeper around, so that was good. Maybe it was their day off from being quick to respond to shelves falling over.
Looking back at Zander,
"Nah we haven't. I've kept to the potions lab a lot this term. Perfected some great things." He had so many things on his prank to do list he wasn't sure he'd get through them all.
"I was hoping to find something here to help out with one I want to do against the girls." Maybe Zander would want to help out.
He looked back at the younger kid,
"You a squeal?" He couldn't have someone running the professors, especially Culloden. His mother would be sure to find out if Culloden knew what he was up to.
