Something for her to take back to the castle at least. She assumed the owner of the Three Broomsticks wouldn't be too pleased with people eating outside food in their establishment.
Pushing open the door and brushing some of the snow off her coat, Kurumi looked around for second year Elodie and momentarily forgot just how much time had passed until her violet eyes fell on the not-so-second-year girl standing off to the side.
She entirely missed her friend's somber mood and flashed a big BEAMING smile at her. " Elodie!" she waved before walking over to her and wrapping her up in a hug. " Congratulations again on becoming a prefect." Because it was worth saying in person this time and not just on parchment. " I'm so incredibly proud of you! What do you want? My treat." LADY KURUMI.
It hadn't been easy to be excited for much recently, but the appearance of one of the most influential people in her life was easily the one thing she could force a smile for. In retrospect though, it wasn't even forcing a smile, because it came so easily to her around Kurumi. She returned the hug, thankful for every growth spurt she had had that left her taller than the other, and not a pre-teen that clung onto her side complaining about a sore bottom. "Hiiiiiiiiii!" See, look, she could sound all perky and bouncy and not give away that her life was over and she was falling on the wrong side of the tracks. She'd tell her soon enough. Maybe in code so no one overheard. Not that she remotely cared what anyone really thought. There were four peoples opinions that she gave an ounce of thought about and only one of them was here. Replacement mama.
She wiggled her nose at the congratulations, still a little confused when things like that happened. She'd probably just get used to it and then she'd graduate. Boo. That was soon, too. "Thaaaaaanks. They obviously thought I'd make the badge look prettier. Not everyone looks good in yellow..." Really. She'd seen it. It was an ugggggly thing. Like most of the students at school. They couldn't all be Robertsers. HER TREAT? The world. Elodie wanted the world. "Cocoaaaaaaa'd be AWESOME." Because ti was cold out and the tips of her fingers might have been a little red. Or blue.
Rainbow.
