Howard and Jane made their way to the kitchen. So many people, so many wizarding people. It wasn’t that they were uncomfortable, but the 78 year olds were just out of place. They knew no one other than Minerva and her family and Ethan’s parents. The rest they had seen in those moving pictures and Ariana they had met before, so they kept to themselves and got some food. Howard went to get him and his wife some punch. He smiled as he saw Gunnar enter the room with Ethan his heart swelling at the sight of his great grandson. He would let the boy get all the attention from the others, he knew he could scoop him up for attention any old day.
Min headed into the kitchen smiling at her grandparents and hoping they were having a good time. She looked back towards Belle, “He’s with his dad who should be right behind me.” She glanced and saw them. It was a pretty small house so she couldn’t miss the one year old. “Oh we are having a girl. It’s very exciting really.” There family was seeming complete with a boy and a girl. She really couldn’t be happier.
Hearing a voice she turned towards Ariana as she put some food on Gunnar’s high chair, “Thanks, I hope everyone likes everything. It was really fun to do plan.” She finished with the food and looked around making sure everyone was eating. “Ariana make sure you get some food.” She didn’t want anyone not eating, there would be so much left. “Once Gunnar eats we can do cake.”
Looking at her son she awed, “Are we still feeling nervous?” She reached for him and took him from Ethan. Kissing his face. “No need to worry bubba it’s just family and friends. Plus you get cake and presents.” Bouncing him a bit in her arms and tickling him she placed him in the highchair. “Are you hungry?” Hopefully he’d stop worrying about all the people once he saw the food in front of him. Leaning down she kissed his head once more before turning to get her own plate of food.
Though the thought of Ethan being a little baby was still in her head, “I bet he was just the cutest baby.” She grinned toward Ethan joking and laughing. E’s mom was always good for bringing up her son as a child and Min always loved hearing the stories. She was though worried about Mariel and yes Gunnar was the star today she would still be waiting to hear what was going on.
