Bec, and you look amazing like her. The ministry heads wanted to do a theme together, you didn't need to dress up like someone in the order." He hadn't even mentioned that til now! He'd wanted it as a surprise. Nice surprise that had turned out to be... "What I wanted was to spend the evening with you." he said quietly. Obviously she didn't want that now. He'd dressed like this because he'd thought she'd be even a little proud of him choosing such an important part of history...
"Yeah." Of course, compliment her to try and distract her. "Well maybe you should have told me that..." Her voice was so much quieter now. "I could have dressed up as something to accompany you properly... and I wouldn't have been so shocked when I saw you." Sitting back down, she leant forward against her legs. "Really? Because scaring me like that doesn't help get the evening off to a great start. "You look so much like him that I was genuinely worried for a second." She'd seen the pictures, she'd read the articles, she'd done her research. "I thought I was going to have to go and save my husband again." She couldn't look at him. Not directly anyway.
