Those jokes probably bothered her to some extent.
Of course, of course, of course. There went Lotus proving Tag that she had a sciency fact as a smart comeback. He will never win in this part. Never. She simply knew much much more than he ever would. Way to be a moral and confidence booster, Miss Wisteria. Jeez, Tag was going back to feeling short and small. He so badly wanted to say something about hotter stars but Lottie would probably go on with a fact. So, he just went the safe route, keeping his own thoughts to himself, "And have I seen one of these hot stars?" Oh. That almost worked.
Did... did Lotus just call Tag goofy? Implied? "Did you just call me a goofy person?" That's what it sounded like. Not that Tag minded. He liked it, actually. All these terms, seriously. "All right. What's a plutoid? Besides it being a rejected Pluto." Tag said. That's all he really got out of the word. Whether it be true or not, his girlfriend would tell him right now. "No problem. I just thought we were gonna do a little extra. Like look for a special constellation or star you'd always been trying to find. Stargazing is nice, peaceful." Tag said giving her a nod. He was very accustomed to this, and having to be quiet. Hence the peaceful.
Heh. That kiss earned him a smile. As far as jokes go... we're not commenting on that. He knew better. Some of them would've been brilliant if the execution hadn't failed him. And just like that she started to wonder why there was a particular one he hadn't used again.
Oh, well.
True. As a future Astrophysicist (probably), she will always know a lot more than he did on this matter. Didn't bother her at all, it made him even more adorable, particularly when he asked questions. Some questions. Like this one. She didn't know if he was joking or not, but she smiled, "Look around you." Basically. All of them up there were so massive and hot that the sun never stood a chance. Did Tag want names? She could list them for him.
No. No. That didn't even cross her mind. "No, I mean, you're one of those who stands beside Pluto. I bet you support the claim for bringing Pluto back as a planet." That claim did not exist, really, the scientific community already made a decision, but it seemed like last term had sparked some controversy over this matter. At Hogwarts, that is. Her posters were still the best ones ever, FYI. "It's not a rejected Pluto, but it's what Pluto is all about, a dwarf planet." Nod, nod, that's what Pluto is.
And, yes, true, they were always looking for something specific, "Nothing in particular this time around, sorry." If it disappointed him somehow. "I could show the galaxy I had trouble finding last time...," because she had been expecting something grand and awesome, and that's not what... wait. "Actually...," she remembered something, "...I could show you that." Which buttons were those? |
