I’ve been casting it on myself since the lesson started,” she admitted, turning her wand on him and casting another one while he’d been introducing himself. He’d seemed to be a bit more active by now, but still cold. It really was amazingly cold out by the lake, and she wondered if it was because of the lake being frozen over. That had to have been magical.
“Hi,” she responded with a laugh. “I’m Lily. It’s nice to meet you Ethan.” There, introductions were done, and she’d nodded as he’d prepped himself to start heading over to the carriages. “Yep. We shall. At least walking should keep us warmer,” she added, falling alongside him as they moved. She felt like the hot air charms might stop working as well if she depended on them, so more ideas were better. They could hope that whatever activity was planned would keep them moving, too. Anything was better than becoming a human popsicle.
He really should learn that charm, real soon. He doesn’t want his body parts to start falling off because of the cold. The weather back in Durmstrang was the worst…but he’s starting to believe that he might be wrong. Hmm. Ethan eyed her wand pointing at him, and sighed when he felt the warmth seep through his layers of clothing. What’s more impressive? She did a non-verbal. It will take him years to achieve that, but he will someday. Mhmm.
“Pretty name you’ve got. It’s nice to meet you too, Lily!” Ethan beamed as he fell on her side and started walking. Yes. Movement will help them warm up from within.
“Thanks for the hot air charm. I can now feel my nose and ears again.” She’s a life-saver! Did she know?
“Can you teach me how to do that? I reckon it’ll come in handy real soon.” He said and quickly scratched the back of his head, and jammed his hand back in his pocket.
