There. That was his partner right there. Lex was good fun. "You're my partner," Mo tapped her shoulder and gave her a broad smile. "Any objections?"
So it wasn't Kirby's thestral. Oh, well that made it a little less controversial and thus less interesting to the Gryffindor who was doing her best to pretend Thompson hadn't just called the dream crusher 'Piersy'. Nope. Didn't happen. And she wasn't over here laughing about it either. What gave anyone THAT idea?
Trying to focus again, Lex realized most of the practice time was gone and she still hadn't given the spell a go. Granted she already KNEW this spell but the Professors might have wanted to see some effort, you know? She could show effort.
"Fixate...Fix-ate....Fiiiixate..." Were they watching? Did they see her trying this simple spell like she was completely engrossed in the lesson?
She would have put herself through the tedious task of going through the incantation again but then they were calling for partners? Huh? What? Had she missed something?
They could get to the horses now? Neat, if only she had a partn--That was actually easier than she thought. When a wild Mo appeared and tagged you as a partner with that wide smile of his, there was nothing to do but grin, because no effort would be exerted on you part, and go
"Nope. None Partner!" She gave a casual look around before eyeing Mo again.
"Did Thompson really call him Piersy?"
