Even though he wasn't laughing aloud, Benny could see the amusement in his friend's face as Adi struggled to keep from reacting and he himself struggled against the urge to open his mouth that bore down on him. "Vesuman sagbin...Becker tiki" he muttered as he gave up the struggle momentarily to stand up and search in his pockets for a quill and scrap of parchment. Finally writing a question down and showing it to Adi as he once more zipped his lips with force.
And there went more random words. That did it for Adi started laughing. He struggled to stop as he didn't want to hurt Benny's feelings. But he couldn't help it.
"I'm sorry, Benny,'' he said, clutching at a stitch in his side.
"I know it's not funny to you but it is from where I'm sitting.''
This told Adi that he had brewed the potion correctly. He needed to get Benny to Professor Culloden's office because he did promise the man a conversation with his bestie. Though Adi didn't see how a proper conversation was possible. Besides his own amusement, he had gotten Benny to speak a lot. Even if it were random words. This was something he wanted to do since last term.
He watched as Benny fumbled with the parchment and quill. Adi read the message when he was done scribbling.
"I don't know,'' he replied quite untruthfully.
"Maybe we should go see a Professor. How about Culloden? Maybe he could help.''
