"Thank you, Piersie.." Oops. looks like that nickname for him was contagious. Heh. Moving on.. Oh, for Merlin’s sake.
SRSLY?
Piers GLARED at Javy for a SOLID five seconds before returning to his deadpan stare across the lake. He was so going to punch that guy when this lesson was over. The students were LAUGHING at him and his dumb nickname. It was one thing to have Cassie call him that. Javy? That was a different story.
SIGH. Quote:

The second year suddenly stopped laughing when an apple was thrown on the ground and DISSAPEARED in to thin air. Wait, a Thestral? Kevin had heard about those creatures. His mother had told him about them. Magical place or not, anyone who couldn't see the Thestrals and only saw an apple dissapear chunk by chunk would be weirded out.
He watched the board behind the Professor and read the writing that had appeared. Mweh they had to take notes? Yeah..no. He had a good memory meaning he was going to regret not taking notes in a few hours
Another breed of winged horse? Kevin thought for a moment but no answer came up to him. So instead of answering, the boy put his hand in his robe pocket took out a Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean and sneakily ate it.
....Sardine....eeeuugh... He let Javy do his teaching about winged horses, keeping his own gloved hands tucked in his coat pockets, but as he was watching their students share their answers and ask their questions he noticed one quiet Gryffindor who was doing something else... Eating every flavor beans.
Without saying a word, Professor Fuller discreetly used his wand to summon the kid’s bag of beans. The bag plopped right into his hand and he CASUALLY started eating them. Ooh, grapefruit. Yummy. Quote:

Grayson's blue eyes widened as he watched chunks of an apple disappear into nothingness. That was freaky, mkay? MERLIN. Despite this, he kept his eyes glued to the chunks of apple, almost as if he was mesmerised by it. It would help to actually be able to see the animal for himself because it would be brilliant, even if the creatures were gentle. Major put off. Though, looking over at the board, they were only meant to be seen by people who had seen death. Huh. That was depressing.
Shrugging, the fourteen year old made a few notes about the creatures. Winged Horses, man. Some were known wizard killers! He liked THOSE. And speaking of winged horses, someone over there mentioned Abraxans, which reminded him of his previous school. They had had those over at Beauxbatons. Not mentioning THAT, nope.
He did have something to contribute soooooo up went the hand. "Don't you have to keep winged horses hidden with charms and whatnot? If you're going to keep them, that is. Because, I mean, a winged horse in your back yard or a paddock is going to attract quite a lot of attention."
Also. LOL. Piersie. OH MAN. He was going to remember THAT. At this question, Piers assumed Javy would want him to answer it. Either way, he was going to. ”Of course,” he started. ”If you’re in a muggle-populated area, you’d want to keep all of your magical items and tendencies hidden, wouldn’t you? The easiest solution would be to live in a wizarding community that already has the protective enchantments so muggles can’t come across your winged horse, but there are ways to keep them hidden if you don’t.” Some they should know already from previous charms and DADA classes.
Once he clarified that, he waited for all the students to answer and for Javy to finish his instruction on the winged horses.
It was his turn to go again, so Piers grabbed the chalk and started to head towards the board. ”As we discussed, most of you already know this spell’s incantation, so it should be quite easy for most of you older students, and some of you younger ones as well. But we’ll all review, just to make sure we do it right.”
Fuller turned to board and wrote down what they needed to know: FIXATE (FIX - ATE) ”Fixate,” he said out loud, for all the students to hear. ”A very simple charm to pronounce. Two syllables, and it was pronounced just like it read. ”The wand movement can be tricky, but not so long as you know what you’re doing. What you will be doing is using the Placement Charm to fit the bridle onto your winged horse. We will have a chance to practice the wand movement in a few minutes, but right now I just want you all to practice the incantation. Say it out loud a couple times and get used to it.” OOC: Spend the next 16-18 hours practicing the incantation. Just one post is needed. Then we’ll move on to activity! |
