Shrugging his shoulders, he nodded,"Sure. That's fine with me. No handicap at all," he agreed looking down at her. Yes he was still going to give her a handicap, she was just not going to know about it.
"May I suggest you warm up first. You don't want to muscles to cramp up, most especially in this cold," Cris suggested to AJ. The last thing he wanted to do was to explain to the Healer why a 17 year old boy was racing with a 11 year old girl.
Yay! He had accepted, and that meant that she was actually going to be able to see if she could win without anybody holding back on her.
"Cool." The first year suddenly wished that she had worn sweats herself. Of course she had ran plenty of times in jeans before, so she could do it again.
"Good idea. I think I'll get on that now." AJ went straight to work. She would flex her right leg while touching the floor with her hands. Then she would switch legs, and do the same thing. AJ also took turns stretching her arms over her head.
"All set. Ready to lose?" Her competitive nature was back in full force.
