He looked around and saw Coop getting drenched. “What are you doing?” the Slytherin asked, amused at the Ravenclaw. Why was she just standing there and looking at her cloud? It dawned on him that the tiny person didn’t know how to end the spell. Ethan pointed at her cloud, and said: “FINITE!” The Slytherin looked at the drenched little Claw and gave her a grin. “The incantation is ‘Finite’ if you wanna stop or end a spell.” Helpful incantation if you ask him. Maddie WAS drenched. The small first year was COLD too but she tried to ignore that because she had work to do. Like trying to figure out how to this dumb cloud stop raining on her FACE. Her hair was ALREADY getting crazy curly from the water and the twelve year old was NOT pleased. She just needed to remember the incantation and she could-- "Finite." Maddie eyed skateboard boy and nodded slowly, pushing some wet hair out of her face. "Right, I knew that." Clearly NOT but she wasn't about to admit it. Also, "Thank you for that." She smiled a LITTLE at the boy and then looked up at her cloud, a cloud which was no longer raining. THANK MERLIN. Now if she could just get the thing to produce SNOW.
...
After rolling her neck and tucking back her extremely ridiculous hair, Maddie was ready to have another go. She held her wand and eyed the cloud curiously, wondering what ELSE she could possibly do to get it to snow. It wasn't like she was asking it to produce KITTENS or anything, Merlin. Snow was STANDARD weather stuff. She really couldn't get why she wasn't able to do this. Clearly the possibility of her not being skilled enough hadn't crossed her mind. "Stiricidium Nubila!" After she'd finished the wand movement, she looked up at the now changing cloud and held her breath. It WAS darkening AND changing shape but was it going to snow? HM?!
... ... ...NOPE.
More. rain. STUPIDRAINCLOUD.
The brunette wrinkled her nose and pointed her wand towards the cloud, trying not to SHOW how discouraged she was. "Finite."
Handy spell indeed.
