Ethan watched his fellow Slytherin (Grayson) as he casted the spell on his cloud. He seemed very determined and maybe the younger Slytherin could learn a thing or two by just watching him. Ooookay. His cloud was getting bigger...and darker...and... Rain.
Ethan sighed and scratched the back of his head. “I feel your pain, mate.” Nod nod. He got hit by hails, soaked in rain water and is now covered with leaves and twigs. “How about…we imagine the cloud producing snow before we do the incantation? That…might work. What do you think?” Because seriously, them bunch looked ridiculous since the tiny first years got their clouds to snow already.
Ethan didn't wait for his fellow Slytherin to reply. He seemed to be the not-so-friendly type anyway. Standing with his legs apart, the third year imagined his fluffy, innocent looking cloud producing snow. Legit snow. Not rain, hail, twigs, leaves, cats, dogs, etc. "Stiricidium Nubila!"
Snow. Please? ........................ Okay. WHAT?!
It wasn't the fact that he was being watched. No no, Grayson really didn't care about that for once. It was the person who was talking to him that made him pause. Wasn't this the same guy who had run off to the wrong table at the start of term feast? Uh huh. He'd run off to the Huggers and Finders table when he was clearly meant to be in Slytherin. Dumb.
There was also the matter of 'mate' but the fourteen year old was going to brush that aside. Especially since this kid was offering help and free help too. Just out of the blue. A nice gesture. Huh. Maybe he could learn a thing or two about that from him.
............................... NAH. The thought itself was tiring. "You've been having trouble with your cloud too?" Was it just as much of an idiot as his one? At least the boy wasn't as much of an idiot as he'd initially thought. Grayson eyed the cloud above his head before saying, "It could do. Intent and whatnot. That's important, yeah?" He was already rolling up his sleeves as he said this, looking more determined than before. Because he was going to get it to freaking snow. "Romanos said something about inner willpower once. That helped me with a curse." You know, if they were offering advice. Free advice.
The boy had better not tell anyone that he did this otherwise people were going to expect more free advice from him and that was a no-go.
He watched the boy curiously as he cast the spell before turning his attention towards his own cloud. This had better work otherwise.............. he'd think of something but the boy would be in trouble if he was feeding Grayson bad advice. Snoooooooow. Great flakes of snow that would be PERFECT for initiating snowball fights. "Stiricidium Nubila!"
Come on! SNOW. The kid's life depended on it. Not really.
