She was being quiet. Maybe a little TOO quiet. Their previous meetings have been brief, if he remembered correctly, so this wasn't something he could keep note of. He kept his gaze on her for a little while longer before asking, "Are you usually this quiet or is today a special day?" Because being the one to talk all the time got tiring and, frankly, a little boring. Unless he saw this as a challenge.
She wanted some quiet. Was that her way of telling him to go away? Because that wasn't happening. Sucks for you, blondie. "I'm not surprised. It's a popular spot, the lake." Maybe it had a lot to do with the Giant Squid. Maybe. "Speaking of, I took up your advice about finding a new hobby." Juuuuuust in case she wanted to know.
And he saw the way her cheeks turned a faint pink in colour. Uh huhhhhh. SMIRK.
