Didn't she see? FEEL? Potions was BEAUTIFUL, and to learn how to FIX it -
Eh, never mind. He didn't expect her to share this beauty. She wasn't that type of girl. :mweh:
"So you're free to go if you're sure 'Collarbin' means no harm," he said in this bored and disappointed tone (she didn't like the BEST lesson he'd taught them!). "But I'd appreciate it if the new kids learnt my proper name." It was a request? She didn't have to follow. She didn't even have to like his lessons. He was just...
Mweeeeeh.
There were a million different ways to tell the Professor he was wrong but she didn't see things going anywhere, not anytime soon so she simply nodded. Technically all it taught her was patience. There was no pressure. If the potion couldn't be fixed it would have been no skin off HER back. But sure. The Professor could have it. All a part of telling Professors what they want to hear. She'd learned to do that after the first few years here.
There was another nod.
Of course she was sure of her reasons behind Collarbin, she'd been the one to make them afterall and if she wanted to humiliate him, a name would be the last thing she'd think of. Too many other grand opportunities.
"I'll be sure they hear it from you first Professor, so there's no confusion." Then if they wanted to believe her story afterward....well...that wasn't
really her problem, was it?
With that the Gryffindor hopped up.
"Have a good one Professor." Definitely not as bad as she thought it'd be!

She'd spent her evening up in her dorm sorting and resorting the sweets in her candy bag as she usually did when she was looking for a way to calm down. Lex must have created 100 different combinations before the clock on her night table told her it was nearly 7 and she'd missed her chance at dinner. Didn't matter, she'd lost her appetite anyway. After a quick locking charm placed on her trunk, effectively locking away that heavy badge she'd been given, Lex exited the Common Room and headed for the dungeons.
At the pace she was walking she'd have gotten there by 7 on the dot or somewhere around there. Punctual and cooperative. That was how you got through detentions. You showed up, did what the Professor wanted then left not being any better or worse for it.
Lex gave a brief knock, announcing her arrival before pushing the door open and entering.
"Good Evening Professor." And a polite nod to go with it. Let the pretending begin.
