| CATCHING UP. *has everything in here sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry* ∞ 17 | RP entrepreneur | defies gravity | Miss George is flawless | blanket burrito lyfe Was she sure she wasn't a Slytherin? Elodie had grinned at that point, just because she knew that that meant she was like her family in some way and she needn't be feeling so much like she wasn't. She was a Roberster. No matter what her robes said. Robertser, Robertser, Robertser. Thanks, 'fessor. She had stayed quiet after that and listened to all the points being made, but had taken to drawing a happy stick family in her notebook. Family was on the brain again, it seemed.
When she was satisfied with her drawings of her parents, siblings, herself, nieces, nephew, puppy and best friend; she started to make the notes that she needed to about the potion they would be brewing today. Also... voice chords? They were putting voice chords into this potion? Was nobody thinking about that? Did voice chords come from dead things, and did they still work? Oh. Only half. Could half a voice chord work? Was that a thing? More research for later, then. She realised that the notes she had taken were going to need to be rewritten, purely because she'd annotated them as she went along and made notes of things she wanted to look at again in more detail later.
Whilst giving Connor a few looks and making a few faces at him, Elodie set about working on what she needed to and cleaned everything. Twice. Just for good measure, and so she knew she wasn't going to have a breakdown at any point later on because she hadn't cleaned properly. The seventh year grated half of a unicorn hair as carefully as she could, and was pretty darn impressed with how well her grating skills actually were. No finger grating and no death. It was all good in the hood horn. With that out of the way, she used her wand to heat her now clean, but empty cauldron at a medium level heat and watched the clock for a minute.
Producing 'purified' water from her wand was more than easy enough, and after a minute had passed, she added three glasses of that to her cauldron, before updating her notes with the ticks beside the steps she had completed and what needed to be added still. In went the ten feathers, one by one as instructed, and moves straight onto the next step as it was supposed to be highly important and something bad might happen or death or yada yada yada MORE CLEANING. Elodie cleaned up her wooden stirrer whilst she began her counting to ten, and then stirred once. Counter clockwise. Like she was supposed to.
And then she started to count to twenty in her head, whilst also praying that no one started to count in anything louder than a whisper, because she would probably hex their behinds and set fire to their hair. Eighteen.... Nineteen... Twenty. Okay! Moving on! She stirred just once clockwise, and then went back to her counting. To thirty, this time. Just to spice it up and test her language skills, she counted this time in French in her head, pleasantly surprised that she had no problems with it, and then stirred just the once in a counter clockwise direction.
Hopefully she hadn't done that wrong, because she wasn't looking forward to dying or anything.
Had that been one of things that might happen? Or was she just making everything dramatic so she didn't fall asleep?
