Kate didn't know what to say when Adelaide offered to show them the way out of the dungeons. First she gave them brownies, then she helped them be not lost… This Slytherin girl was wonderful! In Kate's opinion, at least. She nodded, a slightly relieved expression coming to her face. "If you're heading out anyway, I'd love to find out how to leave the dungeons," she said. Oh. That sounded like she was criticizing the neighborhood of the Slytherin common room. "Not that the dungeons are bad, I just wouldn't want to stay down here…"

Kate stopped talking abruptly as she realized she was contradicting herself, simply to avoid the vague possibility of offending the Slytherin. Oh.. the headmistress was leaving to get milk? Kate waved to the woman's back as she walked away, then grinned at Hayden. Her friend had made the right decision about the brownies. They were so good.
