The third year shrugged and remained silent. Really, he didn't know what he would do if Benny even tried to talk to him. So far, Adi was doing a good job of staying away from the Gryffindor as he had requested.
Adi came out of his train of thoughts as AJ nudged him on the shoulder. And still he said nothing in response to what she said next. All he did was smile a little and nudge her back. He knew she was trying to cheer him up but he didn't want a best friend anymore.
The surprise must have shown on her face.
"Nope, I didn't. I thought I would at least get an argument out of you." Which honestly would have been better than this mopey Adi.
"Well, thanks anyway. You don't have to do it, and I'm liking that you are." It said a lot about him as a person.
"Aw, come on! I'm a fun girl." She knew that she would never take the place of a boy bestie, but she was the next best thing to that. No more sad Adi. She had to try and find a way to cheer him up, but what to do?
"Hey, have you ever swam in the lake with the giant squid?" It was something that she had just found out about, and she really wanted to be able to swim with Henry when it warmed up some. AJ hoped that her random question would get his mid off Angel and Benny.
