Apparently the whole Benny thing wasn't going to be as easy as it was to get him to agree to apologize to Angel. "You don't mean that." She knew he didn't, he was just hurt right now. It was still all too fresh right now. "I'll be your best friend." She nudged him with her shoulder trying to make light of the situation and hopefully get his mind off of Benny and Angel. He didn't have to talk about feelings if he didn't want to.
Adi could see the surprise on AJ's face and knew what she was thinking. He grinned a teeny tiny bit.
"You didn't expect me to agree to an apology so fast, right?'' he asked. When you were wrong, it was best to admit it and move on.
"It's nothing.''
The third year shrugged and remained silent. Really, he didn't know what he would do if Benny even tried to talk to him. So far, Adi was doing a good job of staying away from the Gryffindor as he had requested.
Adi came out of his train of thoughts as AJ nudged him on the shoulder. And still he said nothing in response to what she said next. All he did was smile a little and nudge her back. He knew she was trying to cheer him up but he didn't want a best friend anymore.
