Donny opened his backpack and took out a paper boat he had made, he also took out a box of markers to finish decorating his boat.

One day he would get to the middle of the Black Lake, maybe high five the squid too, but until then he would have to do with his boat. The cardboard fins he had tried once obviously hadn't worked. The fins hadn't helped him at all, instead he had almost drowned, so fins weren't an option. Maybe a huge paper boat?
Grace hardly had time for herself lately. Who would have thought second year would be this bad? she was trying to keep ahead of her studies, but that had resulted with her spending a lot of time in the common room. But today she had decided that she was going to spend some in the grounds. She hadn't really been out there much since coming back to school. So she was excited. Grace resisted the temptation to skip down to the lake. She'd grown up since last year. She was 12 now. She had to be big girl now.

A smile spread across her lips as she came down and saw Donny. She hadn't seen Donny for a while. it was the bad thing about staying in the common room so much. But she could see him now. Yay. "Donnny!" She giggled, as she hurried over to er friend. "hi."
