...and her face had been doing so well.
The pink tinge was receding...but then West
did something and it flared to life again. Well, to be honest, he wasn't really doing anything out of the ordinary. Simply renouncing her statement and agreeing with her. Not that big a deal...but the way West was doing it...
Maybe that's why the kiss truly had surprised her.

Her breath hitched when he leaned forward...and then she was gasping lightly with him biting her bottom lip, fingers on her chin. It was unexpected and because it was unexpected, she couldn't fully enjoy what was happening. A shame, in hindsight.
