...and that question took her more off guard than the previous. So much so, in fact, that she immediately reached for his hand, squeezing it.
"West, give yourself the appropriate credit here. I want to." Oh, there it was. That familiar surge of white!hot anger for people that made him feel like he wasn't good enough.
Anyway.
"I'd really dig a surprise. In fact, go nuts. Whatever you want to do..."...and Ves would force herself to be okay with it. West clearly needed someone to appreciate his effort for a night.
Good news was the blush had faded...somewhat.
