The first part of what he'd said...was completely overshadowed by the last bit. Vesper eyed West carefully.
He looked serious.
"...You did say that." She nodded at him slowly, a small frown in place. The sketch she'd been meticulously working just moments before lay forgotten in her lap. Clearly, she hadn't anticipated this question...but rolling with it, she was.
Her blush was inevitable, too.
"If you think that's what's best, I trust you.".....and because it needed to be made clear, Ves added,
"Nothing ridiculous and lovey-dovey, though. I won't be able to take you seriously." Mhm. Back to inspecting her sketch...and trying to make the blush....diminish somewhat.
