Hayden eyed the plate of brownies. She wasn't supposed to take food from strangers. Especially not in dark hallways in dungeons of castles. Well, that was never specified in the lesson but it was implied. It should be common sense. Maybe the brownies were poison or something. Was the headmistress trying to poison her, and blame it on the other girl? She was holding the plate so she'd probably made them, and she'd be the one getting blamed for murder. "No thank you." She said hesitantly to the offer. Or was that the wrong answer. Would they know she was onto them? She glanced at Kate, who had just arrived as well, to see what she would do. If she took a brownie first and ate it, Hayden would know they were okay. She hoped they weren't poisoned because she didn't want her new friend to die, but since she didn't know of any other way to test for poison in brownies it was the only plan she had.
Wait, oh yeah, she was lost. "Where exactly am I?" She asked. The older girl or the headmistress should definitely know where they were. Unless they really were trying to kill her and led her astray after their brownie plan didn't work. Quote:

Aaaand apparently she was just going to go around telling the whole world that she was lost. She really needed to work on gaining a better sense of direction, or at least being able to pretend like she knew where she was.
That older student was really nice. She had a plate of brownies, and she'd even smiled at Kate. Kate beamed back. She was so happy to have found other people in the creepy passage that she wasn't even embarrassed about being lost.
What. Hayden was turning down brownies? Kate needed to teach her friend not to turn down food. But had she been offered brownies, too? Kate wasn't sure. Her arrival was kind of blurry because she had been busy being relieved and checking behind her in the creepy passage. "Since Hayden doesn't want a brownie, can I have one?" she asked. No harm in asking.
Adelaide Adams! That's right. "Adelaide," Bunz repeated, nodding to herself and slowwwwly bringing up the arm with the brownie. What, she wasn't just going to stand here, surrounded by smelly noms, and NOT eat anything. Even IF she was being stared at by Miss Suspicious Puff over there.
Though, it did make sense for Hufflepuffs to be suspicious. Bunz would know. Hufflepuffs had to stay on their toes because of the tendency-to-die-first thing. Poor firstie. She was LOST.
"Youuu are in the secret passage through the dungeons," the redhead announced, biting into her brownie without further ado. Oh wow. Oh yummmmmmmmmmm. It was melt-in-your-mouth good. Yeaaah. Mmm. She couldn't answer the OTHER little girl yet either, because food.
Kate Pearce though, that was the Ravenclaw's name, and apparently Hayden was the suspicious one. Good. Bunz was getting to know her students here. She ought to get a great review from the Board this year, just for this. She swallowed a hunk of brownie and nodded at the girls. "This passage wasn't visible until the flood of '69. I'm not sure what it originally used to do, but what it does now is sorta take you to the Slytherin Common Room." Which would explain why there was a Slytherin down here. But...
"Where were you two headed?" The firsties? Not being....up........ to something, were they?
