Apparently the Professor was not one for these kinds of talks and for a moment there, Michael was going to tell him not to worry about it, but the man had offered in class and it might be a little amusing watching the man sweat a little more.

And who knows they might both learn something out of this conversation.

"Yeah." He said ignoring the man's obvious discomfort. "I mean, they've known Zahra since the day she was born. We grew up together, so I can't understand why they're being like this now." He looked at Airey with an expectant expression.
Oh sweet sweet solstice. What was he supposed to say to all this?

He needed to make this astronomy related somehow. He could deal with this sort of conversation as long as he was able to examine it through a scientific lens. It was just getting past the thick wall of awkward that was going to make seeing that angle difficult.

Did he mention he really didn't want to know about students' personal lives? It felt invasive knowing this sort of thing even if it was information being offered to him willingly.

"Well...I...er...being like what? Exactly."

Because words like 'this' and 'hard time' were rather subjective and vague.
