Where was she? Hayden knew she was on the very bottom floor. Not just the ground floor but the very bottom. As in dungeon level. That's what it was called but she didn't think Hogwarts had any real dungeons...did they? But why were there dungeons and what were they used for? Is that where the bad students went? Or was there something worse hiding down there? And what was that SMELL? It wasn't constant, thank goodness, but every so often she caught a whiff and it definitely did not smell pleasant. Hayden kept walking along... some sort of dark scary hallway and hoped she come out somewhere she was supposed to be. There was no one around to ask for directions. But WAIT! There were. She rounded the corner and saw two people, both of them looked older than her. One looked WAY older than her. And she looked familiar...

...Was she the headmistress? "Am I interrupting something?" She asked nervously. Why would the headmistress be having a meeting with a student in the middle of this dark scary hallway? What kind of a headmistress was she? Wait, were those brownies?

Kate had taken a wrong turn somewhere. She had to have… Why was it so dark, anyway? Wasn't she supposed to be near the entrance hall? Surely the place where you entered and left the castle would be light… Clearly, she wasn't on the ground floor. It was just too dark and creepy and… it smelled like… well, based on the smell, it was not well ventilated.

So she must've made a wrong turn after she left the bathrooms.

Kate frowned and paused. Were those voices? There were people down here! They could help her find her way out and save her from the creepy tunnel! Kate hurried toward the sound of people talking, not caring how loudly her footsteps were. Yes! People! She slowed down when she could see them.

"Hi!" she said, her enthusiasm echoing the relief she felt. Oh--was that Hayden? And that was one of the professors, right? And…somebody else. Kate looked over her shoulder. Nope, nobody behind her.
