Sophie eyed the plant food as she continued to levitate it toward the throat-latching carnation. The plant must have known what was happening, because it kind of tilted itself toward the food and held its mouth wide open. Well, that was good--so as long as it was tilting toward the food it was supposed to eat and not her throat, all was good.

Sophie continued to watch the food as it approached the plant's mouth. When it was close enough, the plant opened its mouth even wider then clamped shut. EEP. Yeah. Sophie was definitely not trying the hand-to-mouth method.

Okay, so who now? Sophie glanced around again, and her eyes fell on the Weigela. Okay, winner, winner, chicken dinner! Or, nasty rat dinner, she should say. She turned from the plant and left to go collect more dead rats. Ew. Double ew.
